Yea I kind of doubt that myself but that is just what I was told. The car does have a chassis stamp on the door seal on the drivers side. I will try to get a pic next time. I talked to my friend that works there this morning and he told me the owner is from England and brought it with him to the states and that he found the car in Australia some years back. When the car is finished it is supposed to go to a museum ust not sure where.

I don't think so Ray, weren't all the JPS cars done in that black/gold color scheme? That's a Warsteiner car.

            Doesn't mean it didn't get a repaint, 19 years is a long time for a racecar :D

              1 of 2 I would question.

The story is that it was 1 of 2 factoy built race car that one some big races in its day.

It might have been 1 of 2 that were factory built for that race team.

That was my thought but like I said before that is just what I was told.

I would stop by weekly and check things out.

Great find. Keep us posted on the resto even though it isn't yours. ;)

vin check time......that will solve it. It won't even really have a normal vin either.

Where would the best info come from M guys, the cowl or the front upper data plate near the headlights on the right?

The shop that its at is well known for restoring car of this caliber. There were severl older porsches and even an old Ferrari.

Awesome car, go back with a good camera and get a lot more pics. And try to meet the owner, I'd love to see some pics of this car on track. Maybe he'll take you out for a ride in it? You never know.
