The first safety car period won that race for Hamilton. He could run much longer than everyone else and it was pretty much over. Had it rained again it may of been a different story.
I just finished watching the re-broadcast of the Monaco GP.....the rain certainly made what is already a crap-shoot event all that more of an epic race. Lots of everything: passing, crashes & surprises. BMW finishes strong again (well, Kubica anyway) and Sutil has to be absolutely p-o'd after Kimi drop kicked him like that after exiting the tunnel.....so late in the race with the promise of some points too.
Way too many other points to elaborate on. For those who did not see it, you missed a good one.

The race was epic though. A fairly wet first half made this a race of attrition, then the second half seemed to be a battle of the full wet tires and the option tires. Alonso, in typical fucktwat fashion, ruined Heidfeld's race by ramming in the hairpin and damaging his sidepod. But Heidfeld needs to wake up and get with the program (like Kubi's been doing since the beginning of the year.) Sutil proved that Force India is a halfway decent team whenever an equalizer comes into play. It was good to see P Diddy and L Hammy get their celebration on, a genuinely satisfied podium finisher is a pleasant sight.
I hope Kimi's ready for a 5 spot penalty in Canada, hehe.

F1 TV coverage question: there's been a blurb from SpeedTV message boards that the next few races aired in the US will be on Fox instead of Speed. Can anyone confirm this?

I've been doing a little network program schedule research, and I'm afraid I bring bad, bad news. Fox will be the network to catch F1 for the races listed below on their scheduled calendar day. Thankfully, these will be re-broadcast on Speed three days later if you'd prefer to watch it there and avoid the NASCAR-influenced jack-assery of Fox. I remember the last time Fox carried F1. The show gets chopped down to 2 hours so things like the pre-race show will be heavily edited and the post-race interview probably won't be shown at all. God help us if Ralph Shaheen and Derick Daly are the commentators.

Oh man what a race. Poor Sutil as mentioned already, but that's life, accidents happen. I am happy for Robert, and Massa, but Lewis is such an arrogant bastard.... lol
Yeah, whenever rain is projected for Monaco, it's always safe to record the following two programs. I have the race and the program after it (Speed Test Drive of the C63 AMG) on my DVR, but I have no idea how to get it from there to my computer. It's a DirecTV HR21-700 HD-DVR if anyone has any recommendations.
