Great win for Vettel. Its been a very long time since ive heard the German then Italian national anthems.

Hamilton was chewing everyone up in the first stint. I bet he was set up for the wet, hence why he dropped off and was almost passed by Webber. Great drive by Kubica too, 11th to 3rd.

I will say, and not to put a downer or seem like a hater, Hamiltons move on Webber going into 4 or 5 laps to go under braking for the first turn was bullshit. Hamilton better get at very least a talking to. Had Webber been knocked out, there would of been hell to pay. None the less that was a very inconsiderate, tactless move that its NOT allowed in that level of driving.

I am glad Vettel scored the victory almost more than anyone but I have to say despite being extremely biased towards Vettel I was still amazed by his performance. That kid is going places and I just hope Red Bull has a great chassis next yeah with all the changes. And yeah, Hamilton had some really bullshit passes on people, but that's F1 and to get through the pack quickly you can't be nice, I just hate when he complains when things like that are done to him.

Fucking awesome! What an amazing race, I'm a huge Vettel fan, glad to see him get a win.

WTF Webber? He's usually pretty good in the wet, Renault better figure out how to get some more power out of their engine. And poor SeaBass, seems like there was something else up besides him just stalling for it to take that long to get going again.

Maybe Ferrari accidentally sent STR the motors meant for the red cars. ;)

            Kick. Ass. Race.

Rain truly is the great equalizer in this sport. A great "David vs. Goliath" match between McLaren and Toro Rosso at the front....the silver car of Kovalainen just did not have an answer for Vettel. Given Vettel's age, I think his new record of youngest Pole setter and GP winner will go unchallenged for quite some time. Congrats to the underdog!!! :-)

The other noteable aspect of the race was Hamilton's leap from 15th to finish in 7th. When it comes to a race in wet conditions, the silver cars clearly have an edge over Ferrari. Kimi could only hold off Hamilton for so long and once he passed him, that was it. If it were bone dry the outcome would be very very different - but like I said before, rain is the great equalizer in this game. Things now get really interesting with Hamilton just 1 point ahead of Massa and McLaren just 5 points behind Ferrari in the constructors, plus a new venue (Singapore) for the next event so everyone is starting with a clean slate as far as stats and car set-ups are concerned.

And to think some folks say F1 is boring.

What angers me the most is that Hamilton was passing everyone under braking the same way. Every driver was giving him room, not closing the door once they knew the position is lost. But when Webber got on the brakes to try the outside into turn 1, Hamilton squezed over on Webber and didnt give him a chance to make a move.

              Cheap, cheap, CHEAP driving.

Jon, you called it perfectly with your post last night. Lewis had to come in for the inters, when he would have otherwise stayed out, I think, and that was huge.

one stop strategy and the way the track dried up some worked perfectly for Kubica.

When was that? I must have missed it.

A stellar drive from Vettel today, I was nay-saying in the earlier part of the year about that kid, but he has shown that he is a superb wet-weather driver that can remain composed and confident throughout the race. There were no freshmen hiccups made during the entirety of the race, I am very impressed. Someone get that kid some cough drops though, :D.

BMW put in a pretty good day as well, third and fifth really helped them in the Constructor's WC. Something tells me that Heidfeld will be with them next year. Ferrari is as off pace as ever, Massa had an alright day, but Kimi needs to get his shit together if he intends on being their #1 through 2010.

You could tell Heikki expected to overtake the STR immeadiately, he seemed dumbfounded and confused during the podium ceremonies. Lewis' move on Webber further gives me the impression that Hamilton is a spolied prick who firmly believes he can make any move he wants to without any consequence. I hope McMerc gets shafted by the FIA at their hearing the Monday after next. Hopefully, RBR will meet with the stewards about what looked to be a very blatant move to push Webber off course, and this time they got it on camera.

                  That rain, what a randomizer.

Way to go Vettel!!! Since first lap it was his, I was afraid Lewis would make a mistake and take Vettel out.

Lewis was really really pushing his luck.....on the other hand.

Hamilton drives hard, but he has no respect IMO to the other racers and since most look at him like someone that has something to prove they always find ways to make excuses for him. Very sad.

What I hate the most is that I can't see the races since the hotel that i'm staying at in Offutt AFB doesn't have the Speed channel:(. Very happy though that Kubica nabbed 3rd. I feel that he's been doing way better than Heidfeld.

I was as well and gave out a great sigh of relief when he ducked in the pits as he was coming up on Vettel. I love how Matchett, Hobbs, and Varsha were all talking about how much faster he was than Vettel at that time, I mean really, is he supposed to be 3 seconds slower than a car that just came out of the pits when Hamilton has little fuel left?
