Um ask any racer and he will tell you rain is the GREAT equalizer. You take out the cars affect(you think Ferrari chassis is equal to Toro Rosso chassis?) and you put the car into the drivers hands.
End of the story.
You are wrong... Randomizer... roflmao
Think about this. If you slapped LH into a Force India you think he would bid for pole? The answer is no he wouldn't.

Nicely summarized. The cars are not equal nor are the drivers....this is plain as day when the conditions are bone dry. However, throw in a good dose of rain and it sudden becomes anyones' game.Rides...

Ok there Vin Diesel, I'll ask any real racer. But unlike most of you monkeys I've been on racetracks in the rain, also very variable like we saw today. The same corner you could take at 100, you find yourself aquaplaning for the outside at 80, praying that it will come back. If you slapped LH into a Toro Rosso when the track had less water - YES HE WOULD BE! But he did not get that chance. Rain conditions are not constant nor fully predictable. Therefore the performance of the cars is RANDOM. If you still don't get it whip out the dictionary.Um ask any racer and he will tell you rain is the GREAT equalizer. wow, don't get so butt hurt, racing in the rain is all about the driver and team to an extent. Of course these fucking cars are set up different, then other manufacturers. hahaOk there Vin Diesel, I'll ask any real racer. And I personally don't think hamilton would be near as good in another car. Let me explain why before you make some counter argument.
The perfect example is when Hamilton was on top gear and stated that Alonso is easily one of the best drivers around. But look at him in renault this year, and he knows how to talk to the engineers.
Im sure hamilton has learned how to help set up a car by now too but there is still a big difference between the two who arguably equal drivers last year, Oh yeah and that was with hamilton using alonso's set ups for a good portion of the season.
Ill summarize for simplistic reasons.
Two drivers, same car last year. end of the season tied for points.
this year, the two time WC is helping develop an uncompetitive chassis and is no where close to his last years performance.
Thats as good as proof as we will get to you being incorrect about hamilton being equally good in another car. The only way to really know for SURE is to have hamilton at Renault with Alonso. lolComment

Effin' DirecTV, I missed the practice session yesterday and the quali session this morning. Hopefully it will be sunny and cloudless tomorrow so I can watch some of the race.

I loved the results this morning. Hamilton fucked himself in the second session by trying to go out on inters at the start. WTF was he thinking, you don't need to be on top in the second stint, just top 10. As per usual Hamilton, million dollar hands with a 5 cent head.
I won't be able to watch the race till late tomorrow, I'm gonna drive up Reno to watch some serious horse power and insane speeds, pfft 200 mph in a car try 500 in a plane a 50 feet.:o

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Kimi & Lewis opt for 1 stop strategies - it certainly would be a good way to make up for some lost time. The wild card will be is if the rain suddenly lets up long enough for a dry line to develop. If this happens, Kimi & Lewis will have no choice but to come in and change tires even if the fuel load says otherwise. Those full wets (or intermediates for that matter) have no performance advantage once the water vanishes.Rides...

Just finished watching it, wow. Rain = equalizer because you can only go so fast, so the cars are more equal. this same thing happens even with low budget racing such as autocross.
Can't wait for the race, go Kimi! hehe.Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

Wow.
I wore my Minardi hat to the USGP in 04, Zsolt scored points. Wore it again in 05, both cars scored points.
Wore it today, and you see the result.
Woohoo.
