"BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen is certain that the BMW Sauber F1.08 will challenge expected frontrunners Ferrari and McLaren during the 2008 season, even though the new car has so far struggled to make much of an impression in testing.
“We are convinced that the BMW Sauber F1.08 represents another significant step forward,” Theissen told the team's official website. “We are very confident that we have got what it takes to turn the duel involving the two teams ahead of us into a three-way battle.”
(Well, at least their confident....)

Meh, Alonso is good, don't get me wrong, but he ain't no miracle worker. The results last year from Renault's car were.....not that impressive. BMW still has a chance and the fact that they never even mentioned Renault(Alonso) as a probable threat makes me feel good inside. It's still to soon to say anything though.:p

"Renault has a steep hill to climb if it is to challenge Ferrari and McLaren for wins and the 2008 Formula 1 championship, new team leader Fernando Alonso admitted at the launch of the new R28.
"At the moment, we need to close the gap to the top teams because we are a little bit too far behind them," he said. "At the moment, there is not any possibility to fight for podiums or wins, or things like that, so that is the first priority of this winter tests and the first race.”
According to Alonso, the gap could be of as much as a full second per lap.
"To close the gap, and to be behind them two or three tenths is not such a big problem. But to be one second or eight tenths, like we are at the moment, is a little bit too much. Renault last year was not competitive enough and that is the thing that we must change for this year."

The new Gran Turismo disappoints me as well. What the hell happen to the massive amount of cars you could choose? From concept, to stock, to full out le mans prototypes... There better be a good reason behind it.
