I don't know much about them, but I'm guessing because the older V6 SHO was a lot lighter, available with manual trans, and had more "sporting intent"... if you can even relate that phrase to the Ford Taurus. :D

Ok now, here's part II of the question...

Someone is going to GIVE you (for reasons unknown) free and clear your first pick FWD car.

The condition is that you have to sell your E30 within a week for whatever you can get for it, taking a loss or not. Would you do it?

Oh my, that's a good question. Would i sell my e30 for a 300+hp mini van?

I'm going to have to think about that.

EDIT: I'm going to say No. Maybe i should of used the Daytona R/T as my first choice!

For the Mini Cooper S with the Works package, I'd do it.

              NOPE

OK if I could sell my car. Get the kick ass FWD car that's worth like sixty grand, sell that, then buy my car back and do all the things I want to do to it, THEN I'd do it.

For a lotus Elan M100... it would be very hard but I would sell the e30. My next car will certainly be a roadster of some sort. A turbo lotus roadster would be great! I dont even care if its a weird looking Lotus. Its the lovable oddball. Although people constantly asking me what it was or if it was a kitcar would get old very fast.

Sure. I'd happily take the TL Type-S or a Mini S w/ works package in exchange for my 325iS. After all, I still have the m-tech :)

Because nobody expects to lose to a geo metro. Teamswift.net is a good source for info. My goal is to make it fast, but not noticeable it's going to be fun once it's cammed

likely an eg, possibly an ek, with 5 lug, cf duckbill, some volks, and some na setup. b20vtec maybe? k20?

or an old mini with the k

if i had to sell my current e30 to get it, no way id sell the touring. but if was when I had one of my regular e30s, like the stroked 325is, or the white 325is winter beater, i def would.

I'd either find an older turbo volvo with a stick, a Peugeot 405 Mi16 (almost bought one, but parts are too expensive), an Acura TSX, G60 Corrado, or an R53 (supercharged) mini. If I was really pushing it, maybe a pre-'92 civic hatch with an h22.

                              The Peugeot:

                              Project M42 Turbo
