What the hell are you guys talking about? In any given model year the M3 was $10k more than a 325i and $6k more than a 325iS. It's just a little more than the 325iX, which was exotic in its own right.

Well, looking at http://www.strictlyeta.net/technical...fications.html m3's were about 1K more than 'verts, but much more than IS' and I's. Up to about that 10k gap from a basic I model.

Edit - Damn, in 1991, verts and M3's apparently had the same basic base price. Shit. Our rag tops were pricey!

1990 325i Touring weighed in at a bit over 30,000$, fully loaded, non iX. IX was about 2 grand more, according to msnautos.

Yeah, they cost more back then, relatively. No one here would own one if they were still like that! :D
