any of you folks who are planning to do this please report back. A writeup would be cool too. Most importantly PLEASE weigh everything......This is more important to me than anything else.

Not to sound ricy, but I think little carbon plates over the holes would look good.....Racy but not to ricey.....It's what I would do with mine. But I wouldn't do this unless the car is lighter. My autox car had lighter power windows than manual windows.sigpic

The car I pulled the crank window parts from had a center console without the switches or cutouts. I'll just be swapping over to that one.
The hazard/defrost/etc buttons from the dash are the exact same size, so if you could locate a couple of blanks you could use those too.::: Present -- '87 325e, '95 525i

why bother? have you ever owned a car with manual windows before? what a bitch. plus you drive a 325e - unless you're building a real track car, this is just another ricer mod.Comment

its getting a small block chevy v8. im getting my car down to the point where the only wires or electonics are things that are necessary to run the motor or blow heat/ac in my face
manuel cranks arent that bad. especially considering how often i dont open my windows.Comment

Yeah so your car will be LIGHT.
FWIW my car needs to be as light as possible but there are rules and regs on what I can and can't remove.....So I could dump the motors, wiring, switches but not the center console.sigpic

it started as more of a "dont ask me for a ride" kinda situation. but i dont mind not having it there, plus it leaves more room for a future roll cage.Comment
