A homologation special that has nothing to recommend it
I am aware of what the car is and I will stand by what I said: the only potentially interesting things are the doors. The carbon fibre trim looks ugly - I've seen it - and the rest of the stuff I'll pass on.
By the way, to my knowledge, there also was another SMALL difference not cited there, that is, the E36 GT as imported into Italy and sold in Germany was the first S50 engine with dual Vanos. And it was fragile, and it broke often. I will pass, and take a 3.2 - which I did.
research time?? yah right man. i read all kinds of mags, trust me pal i kno a thing or two about what m3 is best. the new one is the best!
If you spent the same amount of time educating yourself on proper grammer and spelling as you did reading about M3s, you just might leave us with the impression that you are somewhat intelligent.

After careful deliberation, I think that the e46 m3 gtr would be my first choice. the e30 sport evo m3 would be a veery close 2nd.
the e36 seems like an awkward intermediate between the two cars. haha?
