No your only allowed factory specs on alot of the interior stuff. Can change seats, steering wheel, and add harnesses. And cosmetic items.

Its actually NOT the seatbelt warnin but rather the SRS warning light noob .

This also goes for everyone else suggesting the late 318 "blank" panel ....its NOT blank it still has the SRS warning light feature .

Haha....I seriously knew it was the SRS warning light! The last second I thought that it'd be very strange for it to be up there, hence, why I put something else.

Well, all US market M20 cars came with them to my knowledge. BUT, just because you have it, doesn't mean it has to work right? The check control unit itself probably weighs about as much as a blank anyway, but you should be able to remove all of the wiring and control relays I would imagine.

I leave my spare and jack in - too much effort to pull it out for no real benefit. of course if it was a race car only, I'd probably leave it out all the time. but not on a street car.

I've always felt that the car was too light in the back without it. and if I suck bad enough that 20lbs makes me significantly faster, well..

oh, not all E30s had trunk tar in the rear...

No as from my understanding some year IX and convertible models lacked it.
