    Almost a r3v

Laugh at me. This past weekend worked on my suspension and before lowering the car on the ground I tightened the lug bolts by hand and was going to
use the torque wrench as normally do when taking wheels off/on.

Well, fast forward to this morning on the way to work. Steering wheel is vibrating just a little bit, and I thought to myself "did I use that torque wrench on Saturday"?
Ha! Pull over, and one of the 4 lug bolts is about 1/4" out of the hub and of course all others needed to be tightened.

    Almost a r3v . :drink:

Yeah sounds like me when I was driving and the whole bolt came out of the wheel and was just about off before I went back to find it. Threw some loctite on it and haven't had any problems since haha.

Back in the Honda days, was putting Skunk2 coilovers on. I trusted one of the dudes helping me to tighten up the lugs. I went for a test drive, and it got shakey really quick. Next thing I know I'm riding on steering knuckle and skeeting down the interstate. Good times, not.

scarey, my moms lexus only has 4 lugs in the back wheel(its supposed to have 5) because les schwab put the lugs in crooked and when we went to remove them the head broke off.

I did the same darn thing too. I finished my suspension and was driving to the shop to get it aligned when my front end started to vibrate. I was really bummed because I thought I screwed something up when putting in the new struts, cabs, control arms, etc. The tech told me that all four lugs on my right wheel were very loose. It made me feel good that I hadn't screwed up my suspension and stupid all at the same time.

All of my Honda's did this.. I ran 3 instead of 4 for a very long time. lol.
