    I got a flat tire.

Bro calls me last night saying he's got a flat tire and can't get the spare on, as there are locks on the wheels and he can't find the wheel locks anywhere in the car.

After I saw this I had :o and . AAA Plus came out and had the tools to remove the wheel locks, and my e30 lug bolts fit the 540i for now.

    sorry about the shadow...

I almost want to say this is a tire defect, the tire has a lot of thread, and this happened on the freeway on/off ramp

nah its not a defect. the wear on the shoulders are from the rim riding on the tire when it was flat. Probably just a rapid loss of air at high speed.

Nicely thrashed. Good thing it didn't come apart anywhere and start whipping around - that would've f'd the fenders up.

Makes sense. He did say it popped, so wasn't a slow loss of air. How and why no idea.

              Lucky the parallels weren't damaged.
