    F*ck Walmart

Currently watching a documentary about how walmart fucks the entire country. Already knew that I'm not an idiot. Just helps solidify my hate.

Seems like alot of these underground documentaries are showing up and gaining popularity lately. Like production of meats , the movie zeitgeist, walmart , etc etc

I've watched that. The real question is, are you willing to pay more of your hard earned money for the same stuff you're getting now?

Sad, that people can't see that in the long run, your hard earned money will be harder to earn by suporting companies like Wal Mart.

That's the sucky thing about living in a small college town, not alot of other options.

              yes.

DSP, i made a good series of hardcore Walmart-hating posts somewhere with my philosophy. We sometimes didn't have a good alternative in college but I've only been back twice and regretted both times. (had to get binders to organize old papers and was happy the second time getting some going to Staples, and also got stripping gel and wish I had gone to Lowes)

Going to a real grocery, hardware, sports, pharmacy, or electronic store is 100 times better than giving up quality on some things and having to be in line with people on foodstamps adding to the unhealthy domination of many companies distribution for just a few pennies. The selection is shitty if you really want something you are looking for, and inventory is none-existent if they do carry the item. Most purchases represent a compromise on something, not actually of equal value of where you should have been shopping.

I am not a fan of Walmart and my feeling was solidified last Wednesday when I went to Costco for gas.

I had gone to Sams the day before (I have been filling up when I can daily because it feels better getting 1/4 tank) and it has been going up 2-4 cents a day here.

Tuesday I went to Sams, got premium at 4.27(grrrr) but felt like it was too high as the regular stations were the same, so Wednesday I went to Costco & paid 4.22!

Just to be sure after Costco I went to Sams to see if the price had changed and it was 4.28!

                  WTF?

I seriously dont understand why people blow a gasket about 4 cents. On a bone dry tank its an extra 64 cents. Im sure that less people complain about going to McDonald's and getting a meal for 9 bucks thats not filling, then go fill up their tank and whine about a couple cents...

Are you retarded? A few cents a day it has gone from 3.70 a gallon a bit more than a month ago to 4.26 (cheapest around here for premium) today.

See why a few cents a day is a big deal?

I may very well be retarded, however im not going to stress out over pennies, or spend the time to make bar graph on how many pennies something fluctuated in a month... I pride myself in having the ability to be able to afford a 4 cent fluctuation in gas prices ;)

                          1) I did not make the bar graph. it came from here:

                          2) apparently you can't see it is not four cents. It is .56 and it has not stopped going up.

At this rate it will be 6.00 by winter.

I can afford 10.00, 20.00, 100.00 why should I pay it because sheep like you just bend over & take it with nary a complaint?

Not to get in between you two nancy's, but 3.87 to 4.12 = 56 cents?
