      Here is my 86es and my 89i... which is why I said you should upgrade to a new model radiator.

        Make sure you have the rubber stopper installed under your oil pan pushing against the subframe and you have good motor mounts. Also, there should be a hanger that holds the hose out of the way on the drivers side frame rail. If any of those things are messed up/missing you WILL have the ALT cut the hose.

                      its like my radiator hose is so close from the alternator .getting the engine mounts off the car is a PITA so i am taking it to my local mechanic tommorwo. :D

                          LOL I just thought that you could also have your alternator adjusted too far out because your belt could be too long. worth a look to see if you alternator is adjusted all the way out.
