Wiring is one of the few things I don't mind after having worked in a competition only stereo shop in high school.

Interior, wiring.........I'll do those. If I had a lift I wouldn't mind doing just about anything except driveline work.

Jobs I won't do simply because I lack the proper tools/equipment....

                        Mounting/balancing tires
                        Body & paint work
                        Rear wheel bearings
Electrical (I'm just an utter bonehead in this dept.)
                        Interior repairs (can't sew)
                        Machine work
Welding (never tried - don't feel like making my car a practice platform)
Carbon fiber stuff (sorry, no autoclave :-P )
                        Cryogenic freezing
                        Rides...
                        1991 325i - sold :(

Rears are a PITA and everyone knows that, but my last front WB snapped my 1/2" drive extension, ripping a massive gash in my hand about 10 hours before an autox.
I still pwned everyone with a bandaged hand.

Are they really that bad? How do you know they are going bad? Under hard acceleration, my car kinda like chatters and vibrates from the passenger side rear. I think its the bearings, but is there any way to know for sure?

How much does a shop charge to do both rears?

a wheel bearing that is on its way out makes a "waa-waa-waa" kind of sound at speed.
never done the rears, i just know it's a bitch cause you need to have that tool or make one. pretty sure the shop charges a shitload

                                Nothing...

I'm the poor SOB you all bring the hard jobs to...

But I must admit, having a shop with all the necessary equipment makes a lot of the jobs you guys whine about much simpler.
