Yup, the Routanaguanagator is just a rebadged Grand Caravan/Town & Country. That said, the new Dodge/Chrysler GC/T&C is supposedly a pretty impressive van in comparison to earlier iterations.

I'm trying to get the grandparents into one of these, but only when they have a VR available.

i still laugh my ass off at the "german engineering" commercial....

i guess some people are stupid enough to think that minivan actually has a single german part on it...

what can you say about minivan drivers anyway...

Read: Dodge (rebadged Mercedes) Sprinter as the real german-made minivan. Sorry, no AMG variant available :-P

yeah, that would explain the vw bugs' huge popularity & production run from 1938-2003, clearly it was a crappy car if it was produced for so long, distributed througout the world, and is still a cult icon today. your name suits you, bmw elitist ass.

The Lada Riva has been manufactured since 1980 and still remains in production. Does that mean it is a good car? You tell me.

The Yugo 45 is the same story, albeit it has been produced under a variety of names. It's been in production since 1981. Is that a triumph of Yugoslavian design/technology?

how can you compare a 27-28 year production run to a 65 year run, neither of those cars is even in the same league. did either of the above come into existence as a military vehicle or spawn an entire 6 decades of offspring? the aircooled motor that was desgned for the type 1 was altered slightly to be used in a grip of other VAG vehicles, and even the 914 and 911 boxer motors share mechanical fundamentals. why? all the cars were designed by ferdinand porsche. the 911 used an aircooled boxer motor until 1998 in the 993. so, what we have is a design that came into common use in th 1930s and is still a viable design today,

ok, i will, yes it does.

The Beetle has proven to be a very influential vehicle, no doubt about it. I was merely pointing out your flawed reasoning that "because a car has been built for a while, it must be a great car."

+1. I'd like to hear an insiders' perspective on the new clean diesel V-Dub. I personally like the Jetta Sportwagen.
