triangulated strut braces are a good idea. not sure why it takes the aftermarket for different cars so long to figure that out

With the E30 M3, its a tie rod spacer correct? I know most people aren't going to do a modified steering knuckle.

I on the other hand would.
i thought bump steer came from the actual angle of the tie rod , you know, lower the car the steering rack is in effect lowered while the knuckle stay's the same height, isn't there aftermarket tie-rods available to that levels out the angle of the tie-rods back to almost centre with the rack?

why can't you space the rack up some to lessen the effects of bump steer? will that in turn bind the steering u joint?

Bump steer isn't only affected by the angle of the tie rod, also the length and many other factors. Raising the rack would help lessen the effects of bump steer, but not eliminate them. It also might take it back to stock (if the car was lowered), but if there is bump steer present in stock configuration, then you still have a problem.

The brace looks great. I'm curious to see what the finished one will look like.

If so, shoot me a measurement of the space between the front of your trunk cage and the firewall.

I bet the new single 10 box I have been thinking of will be able to fit, and at only 35 pounds (target weight) for box, sub and amp, we might have some mutual customers.

              Looks freeking awesome, BTW.

The plate you see at the bottom of the pan brace is just ahead of the spare tire well and will be less than 3" wide.

The trunk pan brace is an adition to the new shock tower brace which will be available as a stand alone. I'll try to come up with a difinitive measurement for you after the testing prototype is done.

Well yes... keep the ride height at the factory spec.

When the lower control arms pass parallel... You get bump steer

Is there still space for sway bar reinforcements to be installed?

I think so ...I'm Not sure though because I don't use them... I weld in reinforcement when necessary...

I'll look the next time I have in the air.

Its called an e30 m3 suspension and roll center spacers. See mine below.

On Topic- Love the bar! Be interested in one as well! Thinking about production by spring 09 or later than that?

Thanks for posting this, this is what I meant earlier.

So what is different about the non-M suspension that won't allow a roll center spacer?

The steering knuckle and strut tube are 1 piece on regular e30's.

                            Thank you kindly sir.

So basically a seriously modded strut tube would be the only way to accomplish it on a non-M E30, correct?

Right, or merely going to e30 m3 suspension, then adding roll center spacers. Probably about the same cost and safer, lol.

I figured E30 M3 + good coilover setup would be an outrageous number.
