This is straight out of the manual. The transmission is a wear item. It's also the part that has the warranty disappear the second you click off the "VDC".

When I look at the GTR, all I see is an AWD-nanny-aide, computer driven car with an automatic. It's the furthest thing you can get from a sports car. It's not a driver's car, it's a computer nerd's car. It's also ugly, and huge to boot.

Granted, most modern german cars have Nanny-aides as well, but they're there more as a "save your ass" feature, they can be turned off, they're passive in a sense, only engaging when limits are breached. With cars like the skyline, they're an active part of the "driving" experience, and one more way of pulling the driver out of the car.

The new GTR does nothing for me at all. It's nothing more than a trixied-up, slighty reworked 350Z body with a fast engine, and a bunch of computer-controlled bullshit designed to make your average sports car driver look like he actually knows what he's doing.

I've never been a huge Japanese car fan, and I really tried to appreciate the GT-R, but at the end of the day it is a car that nobody can enjoy without the expense of the warranty. It is a far cry from the earlier GTR's IMO.

that is the best looking one I have seen

But they are over rated garbage. Oh yeah don't ever switch of your VCD if you want to keep the warranty, switching it off voids the warranty automatically. :hitler:

The car itself is ugly in my opinion. I just wish they had spent more money on the styling and they could have made it a little less gadgety.

I'm somewhat impressed with the technology of the car, but not impressed with the car at all

they are big, heavy and over-gageted

I wish they had followed the lightwieght, RWD, no driver aids like this. Aside from the r33, this is probably my favorite skyline.
