Would you trade your E30 for an E36?

POST THE REASON OF THE CHOICE YOU MADE!!!!!

Take your E30, whatever you have. Would you trade it for the equivalent E36 version.

Pretend E36s cost as much as E30s so selling the E36 would get you the same money as the E30.

    So a 1995 325i costs the same as a 1987 325i.

So E36s in this imaginary world are cheap.

I would pick my E30 Convertible as it is more unique, more fun, and better looking. Diamond Scharz is the most beautiful color ever.

The E36 318is is slower and heavier and it doesn't look as good... as my E30 318is.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

I like my e30. its the first car that I've ever owned, and bought on my own. Plus i'm still learning how to drive my car, so why would I want to switch that up with a totally different feeling car? I also think the e30 just plain looks better... the front is alot more aggressive. I love my car. :)

I voted yes....but there's only one E36 I would ever consider. The M3 Evo that was sold in overseas markets such as the UK. 321bhp, individual throttle bodies, 6-speed gearbox.....basically the best of the E36 offerings and the only one I would allow in my garage.

Lol, you should only have voted yes if you were willing to trade to your E36 equivalent, a 325i or 328i.

But, your post made my pants tighter, so its ok.

I'm split on this one. As a fun to drive car, I think the E30 is way more fun, but as a daily ride I think the E36 is a little more comfortable a car. How about a compromise...a 318Ti! The rev happy M44 similar to the M42 in my car, the E30's rear suspension, fairly lightweight, and not as many bells and whistles as its full sized bretheren.

Damn, I wonder why someone doesn't do that.

I did want an e36 m3, but not anymore. For the same money, I'd rather have an e30 m3.

One of the best things about the e36 is the multi-link rear. So the 318Ti is actually the worst of both worlds. Old e30 rear suspension and heavy luxury e36 stuff. And it looks like crrrrap.

there is no E36 equivelant to my car.. and even if there were, the answer is still no.

now, I wouldn't mind having an E36 as a daily driver. but I'd still rather drive the E30..

this is also a pretty stupid question to ask on an E30 website.. of course we all love our E30s.

                      Fuck no. E36's are gay.

Except for M3's. They are alright.

My Ti weighs 150 pounds less than my e30, and can carry a 36 inch TV.

I get to drive my girlfriends E36 325is all the time, but it's just not the same. It doesn't feel like the car is an extension of me as much as the E30 does. It might have something to do with the slushbox, but I open it up every once in a while and it still isn't as satisfying as my little car.
I retired my E30 for now...
