I think someone stole the front roundel off my car after I first got it. Or it somehow tore itself off driving around my neighborhood, Not likely.

That sucks. that would also be my only rationale for getting a Volvo lip. Nothing beats $13 spoilers that are that easy to replace.

Except for the fact that they look like a cheap high school play beard on our e30s.

no, not glue. you ziptie the lip to the valance by drilling holes through both on the backside. That's how I ziptied mine.

I doubt it for many reasons but mainly, anyone that is willing to risk going to jail, getting their asses beat, stabbed or possibly shot (I live in Texas) over a $100 part, would not plan some sort of revenge.

Well here in litigious NY, you probably would get sued!

I am also of the mind talk softly and carry a big stick, but unfortunately ....

If I ziptied my iS lip, I'd be more worried about breaking it, than I would with no zipties about having it stolen.

I've knocked it off twice...I don't wanna go into details, but it would have been broken, and needed to be replaced anyway.

Ive hit two small animals, both ripping mine off. Drove over it on the freeway even. Still clips on the car and look fine. If I had zipties or other non oem mounting, it would have caused damage to my valence.

Apparently, the problem with you guys is running into/over shit, not zipties.

Firstly, I can't imagine someone stealing my lip with my zipties unless they have time, knew where they were, brought something to cut them with etc. Secondly, it is a proven fact that with zipties, you will not run over your lip and it will still be on your car after small animals or whatever. Thirdly, you install the zipties loosely. They are not there to mount the lip but to keep it on the car if you hit something.

As far as stealing the lip, if I were to steal one, I wouldn't fk with it if I knew they were ziptied on. Mostly from the inside.

ok, but anything over a few inches tall is going to affect the valance at a certain speed. All I'm saying is you might as well place a few zipties in an effort to save the lip.

you can spend 20 mins and 4.99 on a bag of zipties or possibly lose ~$140, 45 mins at the yard and that same 4.99 on a
