Lol, I never said it looked good; I said it was cheap. Notice that I am still running the i lip.

I would rather buy a new is lip (150) than have to pay for a new valance (500 with paint) after mine gets bent up from zip tie bs.

The squirrel I hit going 75 snapped it clean off. I drove over it with both axles, it smacked the front of a Jetta and who knows what else on that freeway in the next 8 hours. Went back that night, picked it up, clipped it on, and there it sits. No replacement needed.

I guess "High school drama class beard" sounds a lil better regarding the clit lip, er volvo.

        So far no nothing stolen...

But my wheel lugs were loosened up a few times...

I actually caught the guy that was doing it.

Firstly, I can't imagine someone stealing my lip with my zipties unless they have time, knew where they were, brought something to cut them with etc. Secondly, it is a proven fact that with zipties, you will not run over your lip and it will still be on your car after small animals or whatever. Thirdly, you install the zipties loosely. They are not there to mount the lip but to keep it on the car if you hit something.

As far as stealing the lip, if I were to steal one, I wouldn't fk with it if I knew they were ziptied on. Mostly from the inside.
If you did it loose enough for that though, it'd be easy to see what's holding them on, and you could easily get it with a knife or some scissors.

My point is just between risking it getting stolen, and risking breaking it on something, I'd rather risk getting it stolen, considering I've knocked it off twice, and no one has tried to steal it.

Now that I've said this, someone is gonna go steal my lip, that's how things have been going lately with my car...

Coincidentally, I bought a volvo lip to possibly replace my I lip. On my commute home my i lip got ripped off in the pouring rain the day I got my volvo lip. So I didn't have much of a chance to compare, I'm still not sure, but I like the flexibility of the volvo lip.

It would drive me nuts if shit got ripped off of my car. Right now I don't have to worry about it though because right now I do not have an iS lip or centers for my weaves.

A while back, I came out of hooters with some friends to find some asshole kneeling in front of my red e30 with a long screwdriver (wanna get that hood open, eh?)... Well, I couldn't see him at first since he had parked his e30 in front of mine so that noone could see. He had a big bag of tools with him. Had we not walked outside, that asshole probably would have taken (at the very least) the IS lip/ryanG splitter, euro ellipsoids and grills, and sparco strut bar just to name a few.

As soon as we saw him, we shouted and he bolted - got the plate number, called the cops, no luck.

Havent had anything stolen of my E30 but way back i had 2 diferent cars violated :)

I was so happily suprised one morning to find my -83 315 E21 standing on bricks.. those wheels were gone with the wind.

The other one was my old -76 Toyota Corola KE-20 coming home for the weekend from my military service something looked odd ... I went closer, no steering wheel. and the hood was open also and basicly anything that comes lose was gone.
They were kind anough to leave a few empty beer bottles in the car.

Why did you not come up behind him and surprise him? Were you guys that far away that he was able to get his bag of tools off the ground, into his car, and be able to drive away before you were able to do anything?

What a douche. You would expect someone like that would be on the local forums and whatnot since he knew what he wanted. It's not the everyday person who knows what goodies to take from an E30

Whenever I park in a structure I always try to park in front of a wall or pillar and get as close as I can, originally intended to protect my smoked smileys but I guess it will prevent any thefts too. Thing is people still back into my car, fucking truck drivers. I have a decent sized truck too and I know how to drive the damn thing, its not like my car sticks out I am 3/4 of the way into my space.

Can't believe you guys let him get away especially when you had people with you. You guys even had alcohol courage. And he drove an E30? I woulda taken the car from him, he doesn't deserve it, unless maybe it was a bronzit Eta rolling on sportmaxes.

Honestly, that guy would have had the shit kicked out of him. I will not tolerate anybody fucking with my car, especially an enthusiast trying to steal parts.
