    Front Axle Issue

Just got my IX in the garage and was changing out the front passenger axle and it seems that the new/used one I got has a little issue at the end where the threads start.

I can not get the nut to start because it looks like someone took a hammer to the end of it a little bit and folded the first thread. What can I do?

A thread file...would that be a really skinny one or a triangle one?
