This is one of the first times I have seen the front 3 being private teams. I think every race except for Monza last year had a car manufacturer at the front. Just stellar, can't wait as the Speed trio said to see the Red Bull with with the diffuser if it is this fast without.Comment

wow, talk about going from the outhouse to the penthouse . . .
BMW is not running the "aggressive" diffuser either, I don't think. If they all go to it, Kubica and Vettel could be the ones duking it out this year for the title . . .Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment

I caught quali last night....some great drama unfolding already. Brawn GP is going from zero to hero real fast. And speaking of fast, I am amazed at how despite all the new regs, this years' cars are actually faster than last year. I was listening closely to Steve Matchett's comments about the "spirit of the rule" versus the "letter of the rule" in regards to the defuser banter. He made a good point that if it were just one team being singled out because of this, getting the matter rectified would be pretty straight forward, but since there are three teams in question, all the other teams have to make a very good case before the FIA if this is going to be amended/changed so all teams comply. That hearing won't be until mid April I believe.
KERS is turning out to be a pretty cool feature. Although there is a weight penalty, the 80-extra horses it provides for a "push to pass" effect is awesome. The good thing about this is that at some point this kind of technology will wind up in road cars once it becomes refined and is economically feasible.
Looking forward to the race tonight. I'm going to make a prediction of who has podium finish potential:
Brawn GP
BMW/Sauber
Williams
Red Bull

Im pulling for Button. I really would like to see him get his second win, it's also nice to see him, finally, in the car he deserves.
So stoked on lewis's performance and getting bumped to 17th :-D
Also nice to see Heidfeld in the top 10 now after the grid rearrange. If he races anything like he was last year, he may race to the front pretty quickly.Comment
