          Stu, your car is by far one of my favorite E30's, just because I would make all the modifications you did, with the same color combo, and drive the hell out of it. Lovin it.

                      And....I may get flamed for this, but, I've never driven an E36 that didn't have a sloppy shifter with no feel...and hard to get the right gear (but easy to get the wrong on a downshift!)

                          I've had two E36's and the shifter feel was always great. Better than on my E30, but that's for different reasons.

                            So which is the better tranny to use for that sort of swap? I heard one of the tranny's causes the shifter to sit crooked in the car.
