just got caught up on the whole thread. dang man, im sorry to hear bout that. ive had a couple of those days before, i know how ya feel.
in my experience, these things tend to happen for a reason. keep yer chin up (well maybe not too high) and just work through it one day at a time. things will get better.

Last one that happened to me was in my 02 Saturn SL (homegrown supercharger setup, running 13s, lots of R&D and hard work into it). hit some black ice around a slight curve at 40 and got the car sideways and couldnt recover it. 78 year old guy in an S10, in the oncoming lane, nailed my car at about 50. 180 into a curb and instantly stopped the car doing 13k worth of damage. And to top it, my parents got divorced, and my fiance left me, all within a week of each other. but, hey it will get better.
Looks like you're taking it in stride anyways.

holly shit man. that has to be the worst thing i've ever heard. i feel like what happened to me is nothing by comparison.

thank you to everyone for your well wishes. I'm going to post some of the pictures in a few minutes.

Sorry to hear about the troubles man.
The insurance company will try to settle with you for the hurt back. Make sure you contact a lawyer and ask what you should do. Remember, if you settle and it costs you $100k in 10 years, you can't do anything to get it paid for by the other party.
        Good luck!
The money from the hurting back can far outweigh anything you'll get for the car.
Don't mention getting hit in the head by water bottles :).

Please note that the A-Pillar and the door allow my finger into the car.

I feel really bad just reading about this. It really sucks to lose a car, especially 2. I hope things work out though. At least you have the sympathy of R3V. lol.

holy crap at the lisc. plate and the a-pillar! that minivan did a good amount of damage.
hey, like i said, it all evens out. my ex ended up turning into a sadistic bitch/whore, and the insurance payment from the car paid for my expenses thru tech school

total side story to connect to your ex... my last ex just told me she became a stripper.

well dancer... but she made 400 in 4 hours. i don't know if you do that with clothing. i don't have an issue with it, but its very different than what i expected

good news about the current ex... i think we may work it out. its a long story that i don't figure you guys want to read... but she wasn't being immature, wasn't cheating, it was just an emotion thing over me being away for six weeks and next year leaving for a full year

i'm going to germany for a year for school.. a semester of classes and then hopefully an internship with a mechanical engineering company over there.

this summer i'm in a 6 week an all-german all-the-time course (you live in a big house with the students and professors and you are only supposed to speak german.. even outside of class) and next summer i'm hoping to get a job as an intern at bmw in SC before i head to germany (where i would love to continue the internship)

so i could possibly be gone from next june to the september of the next year, and only be back a few times (i would fly her out there once or twice... but its a pretty big strain on a girl.. not as bad as military by any measure (i don't know how people do that. my brother and sister-in-law did, and it blows my mind), but time is still a big deal)

way too many ()'s but i don't care.

be safe in basic man. what army? navy? marines? cg?

dude... i can't even tell you how angry and sad i am. all of my cuts from doing the swap just finished healing... they're still bright pink new skin. *sigh*

anyone have a suggestion... get another e30 (and have two again) or stick with the one i have and get an e34?
