Has more torque than horsepower, no individual throttle bodies, a slight increase in horsepower over a 328is. So what nme36 is saying is that an mtech cabby is an m3, cause it has "m" suspension. Tom, I say take the good advice that's been thrown out there (like keeping your precious albeit "heavy" back seat panel and forgetting about the auto tranny) and just ignore the rest of the chatter in here. Don't worry that not all r3v likes the e36 cuz in the end you won't sway anybody here, period. Respond to what's truly worth responding to and don't waste your time arguing.

Now all that said, you know I'm still behind you and will be involved throughout this build. It's not difficult to afford a raggedy E30 vert and an auto E36 M3. Hell I've seen an auto 95 M3 go for $2000 locally.
