Also plan on making a cold air intake. Anyone know where I can find a cone filter for a good price, ill make the heatshield myself.
Also need to replace the clutch soon. Im sure thats not gonna be easy but its slipping pretty bad now, a tad to much gas on the upshifts and it just spins =/.
Really want new wheels tires soon too.
Need to get some real springs. I cut the springs for now, shame on me. It drives pretty well and i love the amount of drop. I just want to get something safer so i dont have to worry and ill feel confident when i take it to the track next. Im woried im not gonna be happy with the drop once i get new springs =[ Also need to look into the other suspension stuff. Is there anywhere to buy a complete tune up bushing kit? Also will newer sway bars make a big difference? Where should i get some.
I really want to tighten up my gear box, its loose. Do you think a bushing kit will help much? Also is there anyway i can get a shorter shift lever arm thing. I dont feel like i need a whole short shift kit if i cant just get the knob down lower and if it didnt move around so much.
I hate saying this as I feel like a total new fag newb but what other stuff should I look into doing on the cheap. I love tooling around and i want some added performance.
Also back to the AC questions. Do you think its worth even trying to find the leak, repair it, recharge the system with freeze12?. I feel like it would be costly and id rather put my money into other things.
Thanks guys, im really starting to like this place :p

Congrats on the car man! :)
Apart from new shocks and springs I d say you should try maybe a silver or red (even though I d do a photoshop first to see what it d look like) lip for your rims.
Maybe you should get new onew as well,I dont know...depends on what you think!

did you do that timing belt yet?? the sooner the better, especially if you don't know when it was done last. on my 88 i bought it not knowing when it was replaced and did it immediately... the old belt was honestly only miles away from breaking. if you haven't yet, get a bentley manual and/or have someone help you that has done it and change that belt! it's a good opportunity to get aquainted with the m20 also.
performance... honestly there is little you can do. i would say just enjoy what you have until you can afford a 24v swap or a later model and go from there
