So today i took a closer look at a red early model 3 series thats been sitting out infront of a house in the town over for atleast a year. It looks horribly neglected. But it has some goodies on it including a decent body kit, 17's with good tires, a nice interior, dual pipes out the back but the tach goes to 4500 even thought the badge only says 325. I wanna throw him an offer and maybe use it for parts/sell some parts to you guys. I doubt the car runs right now, might not even have an engine for all i know. but i hope the guy will get a boner if i tell him ill take it off his hands for a few hundred. Pics later

thanks man, dont go with the eta if your gonna want something really fast. I already want some more speed.

I think the car needs a tune up though, i dont know why but it feels slower then when i got it, doesnt pull as hard at 2500 up like it did before. Not sure if its me getting used to it or what.

Question, how hard is it to turbo an eta. My friend put a turbo in his volvo 240 for around 100 bucks with junkyard parts. what kinda of turbo's and manifolds do people use normally or is it cheaper to supercharge.

Well when I pick mine up I'm gunna look into swapping an "i" head onto it (super eta). That way I get the hp and the torque.

Haven't seen any actual numbers (haven't really searched it a ton yet, I'm starting with suspension) but when I asked about a good option to gain more hp with a 325e or es that was the first suggestion. Plus mine will be a dd so I'm shying away from boost.

Word. Its nice talking to people who are in similar situations. I honestly wish I knew everything about e30's but i got my license a few months ago haha so thats not really possible. I wanna know what im talking about without sounding like a retart but i will honestly admit i only really under 5% of everything there is to know about these. Only time will make that better, but im on for the ride and im stoked.

What are you gonna do for suspension? I think im only gonna go with new springs/shocks for now, but i wanna find something that puts me in the -2" range. I cut my springs temporarily to see where i wanna be and i dont think i would be happy with the normal 1.3 drop.

Yeah I'm just like you, I've been in the honda scene for the last 3 years, got tired with those so I'm switching over. I'm leaning towards Koni Yellows w/ H&R Race Springs, I had the same set up on my gsr and loved it, give about a 2" drop on a honda so I'm guessing about the same on an e30 hopefully.

Ughhhhh. Im sooo in between what I want to do with the car. Im starting to think I should sell the car to get something better for upgrading. Im could find something better now that I know more about the cars. The thing im worries about is that I would loose money. I over paid for the car by about 1000 dollars (paid 3500). Also ive done some mods that took away some value like paint the hood, wheels, and trim. I also took off a coil or 2 on the springs to get me low until i got new springs. Do you think if I really cleaned up the car and really made it nice I could get 3,000+? Its got 150xxx and mechanically is awesome.

Honestly I don't think so... I'm picking up a red 87 325es in decent condition for a little under a grand this weekend.. you could try though since the e30 bug has been spreading

I might try too. I just dont feel like i can take this car in the direction I want to go. Its worth to much money for being in good condition. I dont need a pristine interior, i dont need good paint, im 17 and Id rather start with a 1500 dollar car and put 1500 into it and have full suspension and tuned engine

Fast cars just get you in trouble lol I've been there, I had a awd turbo eclipse in high school... nothing but trouble... and high insurance lol.

Btw what valance/lip do you have on the front there?
