I'm comin into this late but since the car is for the track only and this will need to be done sooner or later anyway if you want acceleration...swap the differential with a 4.10/4.27/4.45 LSD (your car has a 2.93) and drop an i cam into the ETA. This way you could have a 2.7 liter M20 with great torque and acceleration upto about 100mph. Since you already bought the 325i engine, you'll lose bottom end power since it's a higher hp 2.5 liter but have 40 or so more HP up top. Also, another thing that may not have been mentioned is the fuel system. Honda's use MAP/TPS...your BMW uses a AFM which kills performance. Might look into getting a piggyback computer to get rid of the AFM and use a MAF or something.

what i was gonna research is the ability to swap a AFM from another BMW that may be a less restrictive..for instance, we used to use the lexus sc 400 AFM on the 7MGTE supras for less restriction .. any suggestions ?--Hayden--

About the cheap power issue.... yes it can be done..
524td exhaust manifold - drilled -max->100$
Used good condition t3 - 60 trim -varies->100-300$
FMIC -> 50-400$
RRFPR -> 50$
BOV -> 75$$
Piping (intake side) 100$
Piping (exhaust) 200$
tornado: 25$
and then you will finally have 210hp :roll:

I agree with the poster who said that if you have an eta you need to take the bottom of the eta and combine it with the top (head) of the i for the best performance. Search around on the net to read more about this. 88 "super" etas are particularly good for doing this.
Also realize that BMW cars are best known for their handling, not their raw power. I enjoy the handling in my car a lot, despite the lack of raw power,
and the eta engine has lots of good low end torque for the twisties and city driving.
Now, those of you who know about Honda's, how can I beef up the motor in my new Honda Odyssey 05 minivan? It is apparently the same v6 as in the Honda Accord.'86 325 original owner for 20 years * SOLD *
