To be honest, M50's can be had for not too much these days.
I myself am leaning in the m50/m52 direction currently, but if this car is physically in good condition, rust-free, etc, It'd be a great car to keep, I'd say.

really? i could get that stuff for really cheap at the local j/y. the only thing i'd end up shelling out for are the shocks and bushings...

but what do i know, im a cheap bastard.

I believe I've sold sets of H&R sport springs on here for $50. Find someone's used Bilsteins and you have a much better package then some KYB shit. IS springs really won't do anything, you might as well keep the original ones in at that rate.

I have bilstein sports on the way.
I'll be getting H&R race when I do springs.

This car will eventually be a spec e30 car but that's a long time off, but I'm trying to get everything inline for that.

Just remember you need the narrower struts for up front, and yes you can get bilstein sports for the narrower front. I have the cabrio sway bars up front and the ix bar in the rear and my car still seems to understeer at the limit, not much but it does.

That track seems like a bad idea in general to go drifting at.

When you have the power of an m10 why would you ever need to see out your back window?
