My $200 89 IX

Just did a job on a Lotus Elan in CT and the guy told me his friends son had a BMW like my 87 is that was about to go to the junk yard due to a popped motor, so i got the address and went in search of it. After locating it I talked to the guy and found a Very Clean Alpine white 89 IX sitting behind his house with no cyl head. So i bought it with a clean title for 200 bucks! This was yesterday so i went today with a buddies trailer and picked it up.

for sure, im gonna have her back on the road before the snow flies! workin on pickin up a motor next week! then i think theres gonna be a 5spd swap in order for the spring

yea for the time being. i think im gonna keep this as my daily and build my 87 IS in to a turbo car after i do some welding and body work

haha he was glad to be rid of it, it sat in his yard for 6 months and he had no interest in it i jumped on it before he had time to realize i would pay more for it

those look like euroweaves to me. check the offset on them. good find!

Im going to be working on it all day, Ill check the offset on them. Im going to just throw some bottle caps on while i clean these up. Ill get some pics up later on, after ive made some progress
