My A/C felt like it wasn't as cold as it used to be, so I topped it off with Freeze12. Turns out it was still pretty damn full already, so I put the rest of it in my neighbor's 240SX......he was ecstatic since his car had no A/C, and it worked like a charm.

Headunit came in, and the plastic surround was a shiny black. I sanded, primed & painted it so it would match the rest of the console better. Bit the bullet on a 8" Lukebox, Infinity Reference sub & Alpine V12 amp.....can't wait to get those in!!!

Went through 5 OEM slider cassettes, none of them worked right. Just want an aux input so I can hand a BT dongle off it. Oh and make sure the OEM premium amp is bypassed. It's underpowered and causes problems in both cars I've had with it.

LOL I tried 2 OEM cassette decks, and both didn't work properly either....hence the new headunit! I will be bypassing the amp for sure. Actually gonna take it out completely.

Also picked up a cheap Omega brand keyless entry from ebay for $25 shipped =)

damn! same situation over hurrr, may have to resort to something aftermarket as well.
playing music through the fm transmitter sucks! all I want is a functioning tapedeck..
I will be keeping an eye on your setup.

any thoughts on the cd43? seems like a popular option among the oem+ crowd.

Those are the best! anyone who doesn't have one installed is missing out big time.

Unfortunately no on Gutenfest.. I have a family commitment this weekend. Will definitely shoot for next year. Say hi to Levent for me, and Frank (black MT1 S52 vert) - and post pics!

I had the cd43 in my last ix and loved it. I just wanted more capabilities w the headunit so I opted for this. I hated how the cd43 stuck out from the console though
