Having seen your neighborhood, that absolutely baffles me as to how someone managed to do that. People are asshats. Best of luck getting it fixed, man!
Seriously man...the only thing i can think of is that last wkend was garbage pickup, so the truck usually goes down the street, then backs up. So chances are it was prob him....but not sure I can do anything at this point about it.

You're lucky. I have a house on my street that rents to what I assume is a construction crew. They have 2 trailers and 2 big trucks. One always backs down the street (dead end) at 5 in the morning. One morning I found the side view mirror wacked and cracked. No note. People are shitty.
That damage is more extensive than the first pic shows, hopefully it doesn't take too much to repair.
Dropped the car off at my bodyshop yesterday. Initial insurance estimate is $3500 from my adjuster, but will prob be more. Having a bunch of other minor rust issues taken care of while there. Sunroof panel and pass mirror replacement, rear battery tray rust, replacement of front lower valence, new bumper, both front fenders and paint of whole front and both doors.
Also took time the other day to clean up and replace the fuel line cover...luckily all the rust was just remnants of the old cover

Surprised at the estimate.. Take the money, buy new OEM bits where needed assemble the rest yourself and then let your paint shop do their thing
Looks like hit was in the bumper itself. Valance is pushed back because top of it is behind the bumper. Get all new bumper covers, trim, bumper shocks etc, and new metal valance too if you feel like it. Seriously doubt the rad support can't be bent back.
If I were out there I'd help you take the car apart :-)

I have been wondering what was happening with your car. I am glad to see it is getting fixed. I have to replace my fuel line cover in my car as well. It is not quite as bad as yours was. I agree with bradnic you will probably save some money if you source the parts yourself and assemble.

Haha. All great ideas and trust me this has been something I was initially going to just fix myself..:.but at the end of the day it's being covered by my insurance so all I'm paying is my deductible. I was initially was just going to source the parts myself and assemble (even gathered some parts already), but at the end of the day it will cost significantly more going that route. I have a very good relationship w my bodyshop, and I'm basically getting all the rust on the car inside/out addressed for nothing: there is a spot in the engine bay that rusted thru (under an AC line), rear battery tray rust, some surface bits on the pass door, pass aftermarket fender that rusted in spots is being replaced w an oem one, and the rusty sunroof and inoperable sunroof will all be replaced/repainted and fixed. We sat down the other day and made a two page list that he's taking care of!
Stonea. Nah just half the car will be. From the both doors and forward.
