The 15 Y/O Turbo M42 Build Thread (Now Holley EFI Terminator X Controlled)
^That's pretty cold. Mine will fluctuate a little... but not nearly that much.
I am running an 89C thermostat I believe. No drilling though. On a warm day sitting in traffic I'm at like 185ish with the efan on... basically same temperature as if moving at highway speeds with no efan. Mine never fluctuates like you describe unless I switch my efan on in traffic... then temps will go from like 205 back down to my normal operating temp of ~185. I run mostly water too... doesn't get that cold here in TX.
I'll keep looking for you to post your msq. Still want to do a full comparison to what I am running. Mainly because you are running no ICV and getting a nice start and idle. With no ICV I have a helluva time.

yea but I pretty much chopped mine all up and built it the way i wanted. So my pipes route a little different.
to solve the issue I need to weld in a flex section to my down pipe. I think it happened when I came out of a parking lot and scraped my exhaust. Too much stress and it just snapped.
also Just now reading your previous post. Ill send you my file!

I had to add (well, have my exhaust guy add) quite a bit of gusseting to the mani to stop cracking. The weight of the turbo and downpipe was causing multiple failures. Now you could drive a tank over it. I've scraped/hit the exhaust many times since and not had any issues.
Send the whole project please, not just the msq. If you send just the file my Tunerstudio gets pissed off.

IMO the whole project thing is dumb. The config file should have everything you need. Its a PITA to look at a tune when you have to get the project files too. I don't see any benefit and I see a lot of PITA :)
