what exactly did you use for your chalkboard hood??!?!?! i really want to do this with an extra hood :)
Resolving mechanical issues doesn't make the car pretty. The hood is chalkboard, the fenders are dead paint.
A certain forum member gave me this iS trunk spoiler. I sanded it (250,400) and gave it a coat of matte plastic fusion spray paint. Then drilled holes in the decklid. :D
So awesome, is it sprayed on ? How do you spray this stuff haha
Roll on.
My process was:
- Sanded the hood with 250grit.
- Washed with Acetone.
- Hung hood from Garage ceiling
- Sprayed with 1 rattle can of Rustoleum Auto primer
- Applied 1 pint of Chalkboard paint with a 12" matte finish roller.

I like where this is going, feel free to do write ups with pictures on the cam adjustment, and chip install.
Cam adjustment is documented on M42club. Chip install comes with chip. I can do my own write up if requested.

it is there for a reason. you are losing horsepower without it.
I understand the "trumpet" is supposed to reduce pressure losses by creating a less abrupt expansion of the flow path in to the airbox, but I really like the sound of my 4-cylinder gasping for air. :firehop:
Well, I'm quite happy with what were got done this Saturday.
-replaced inner/outer front control arm ball joints
-replaced inner/outer tie rods
-rebuilt front and rear calipers
-installed Ireland engineering Rear trailing arm and subframe bushings
There is still so much to do.
A very welcome sight:
Throwing subframe back in tomorrow. I need to pull the trigger on a suspension. I'm stuck on H&R race and Bilstein sports, but unlikely to happen on this budget.
