the paint is soooo bad though. Poor body work and sandpaper marks. You can see bondo everywhere.I guess for auto events the color would be kinda cool. Too bad it won't stay.
I'm gonna go ahead and strip it out. whether it's a track car or a tailor, the interior and inner door panels/moldings will all be ripped out for weight savings. Awesome thing is it's a 318 and I believe a few pounds lighter. I mean everything will be taken out.
Some people are saying cut it in half and make half of it a barbque pit. That seems awesome and I kill for bbq, too bad I'm not good at making it.
I've also heard "FOUR DOOR M3" only issues would be all the fab work needed for the tail light section. I think I may lean more towards drift truck. Just make it a fun toy to go to different events with.

do a full mechanical inspection, and see if it is worth putting some money into. leaking engine/trans seals, cracked bushings/engine mounts, leaking hoses/vac lines, and so on. if it is not to bad, i would turn it into a track rat.
euro tuner had a really cool article in which euro tuner and turner motor sport wanted to find out if they could race or at least improve track times of a POS e36 325is they picked up for about $3000. They ended up shaving around 8 seconds off the cars first stock lap by adding springs/struts, brake rotors pads and SS lines, ca intake, exhaust, chip, wheels and tires. i think it all came in for about $5000. you could get all that for way cheaper if you picked it up used.sigpic

it's horrible. It needs a new steering shaft and wheel. They took it apart because the key broke off and so did the steering lock.

No point in ripping open a car without seeing what its worth.
The inside is soooo gross though.

Can't really save it. It belonged to a us soldier that pretty much used it for target practice before he left. They repaired all the bullet holes and glass then put shitty 5% tint everywhere.
There is also no title. so making it a daily driver is a no. sry guys but all the input is greatly appreciated!
The poll has turned out great. track car it might end up indeed. I've always wanted to build one so why not start one now? aaaand if it doesn't work out or start drawing savings for the iS, then trailer it will become.
We'll start something this weekend.
