    Raxe,

Man, I love both of your cars!

You've done exacty what I'm preparing to do. THe 3.73 LSD is in my garage waiting for the install, and I am planning to send the 'i' model head I got to a shop to have them go through it. After that, it's the 327i swap for me, too! Cool that the swap itself only took you 6 hours! That's a great improvement for an afternoon's work!

Thanks for posting this thread - it's good info for me, and I'm thrilled to hear your results!

Nice! Going to be doing the same thing with project Vanessa! Does MarkD make a chip for 327i's?

I'd like to know the answer to this as well!

            Nice job dude!
Not true, I'm running that setup and it's as quick if not quicker than a B25, and that's with a 2.93 diff. I do plan on going turbo in the future though.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with an IE reground cam. I have personally them in two of my own cars and I've had a couple friends use them as well. Internet hearsay is a lot different than real life and I'm tired of this shit.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I guess I'm going to turn this into my project thread, if a mod sees this please move it into the project forum if you have a chance. Thanks.

Got my 25mm/22mm sway bar kit from IE today. Looking forward to the difference, the body roll in this car is pretty crazy for being as low as it is. I've always assumed it's because of the mismatched springs front and rear but I'm hoping this makes a big difference. Should have them in within a week or so.

Also called in my next order to IE today!

                    - 272 billet cam
                    - Adjustable cam gear
                    - oversize intake valves
                    - oversize exhaust valves
                    - heavy duty rocker arms
                    - coated shorty headers
                    - stainless cat back exhaust

I've decided to go with the 3.0 M20 stroker build using all new Ireland Engineering parts. Partially because practically everything is available through them and partially because I like the company and their service. It'll be a while yet before I buy the actual crank/piston kit, but for now I'll be buying stuff in 'packages' and installing it as I go to get an idea of the difference each group of mods makes.

^is the red car gone??? [would explain your need for more power in this one]

Awesome project, beautiful car, nice work!

Thanks! Sadly the red S38 car is gone, new owner took possession last month. This little car gets all of my attention now. :)

what sort of power are you expecting from the 3.0 stroker?

I'd be happy with S50 numbers, my reason for sticking with the M20 instead of swapping to 24V is period correctness (matches the whole theme of the car) and the sound of a built M20B30 > stock S50B30.
