the m50nv was finally pulled from the donor along with everything else i could grab lol. I have only had to patch the current oil pan 3 more times hahaha, and am finally ready to pull this underpowered boat anchor out in the next few weeks. will upload the pull pics over break of the donor pull and am hoping to drop it in before Christmas. Just ordered the oil pan swap setup!! Need booster and mounts.
Does anyone want to buy a good running m42, currently getting 28-30mpg but needs a new lower pan?

THIS IS PICTURES. A STEP BY STEP PICTOGRAPHY OF A M50 SWAP. This entire swap was done with just $36 in bavauto mounts and 20 in swap pan (pulled at junkyard myself). Motor was gift from friend.
so now its' ready to go in. just a few wacks with a hammer on the BB and some RTV prior and the mounts
The brake booster will eventually be replaced but for now this actually works. Pulling the intake and replacing it will be easy in comparison to everything else.
GO STEEPER!! VERY VERY STEEP!!
and you will succeed with lost of help from friends!!!!
Notes... I used the stock m42 tranny the g240 and the OEM m50 flywheel/clutch/pressureplate/Throw-out and starter. This required me to shorten my driveshaft and use the e36 shifter pivot arm (the short one) and i used a z3 shifter. The shift linkage was fabricated to fit.
the stock fuel filter mounting bracket will hit your steering, i custom fabbed the stock bracket with a chop saw and grinder to create some room.
and oh...
F THE DRIVESHAFT......I hope it holds and isnt to terribly unbalanced. Welded and ground it myself.
You can find all the wiring in my post in 24V DOHC section of this forum. Special thanks to my friends who can solder. I hate that shit, but reading the diagrams wasn't so bad after the help from fellow R3V'ers
