So to keep you all updated.
Went out a few weeks ago and track temps were way to high. Engine only got to a high of 230. I shut it down and they came right down but it was to late. Ambiant temps creeped up to high and my coil overheated. No spark equals a ride of the track on a flat bed. Let everything cool down again and pulled the hood. Sure enough coil still overheated and then the clutch cable lining melted. After anouther tow and alot of looking for a mustang clutch cable i wound up driving it home 25 miles without a clutch.
The next week i pulled the pedal box and fixed the pulley setup under the dash. The previous owner used skateboard bearings as a roller for the cable. I went down and picked up an actual pulley and reinstalled everything. I then went and picked up a new cable and a heat wrap for the cable. Should be good enough that i can drive the car but ill be picking up a stock pedal box and clutch master setup and ill find a slave cylinder that will work with the t5. Tired of the crappy cable setup.
I do have a taurus fan and i need to find a proper rad so i can start hacking out the core support and making ducting/new supports. The taurus fans are said to flow about 3500 cfm on high so hopefully itll work alot better then my current setup. Ill also be looking into vents in the hood to keep temps down also
As far as drifting goes my season is done. Im currently in the process of buying my first house and ill be getting married in 2 weeks. Ill still be working on the e30 but its def on the back burner til late winter.
Good news is the new house has more then enough to store and work on the prOjects. With a 2 car attached for the dailys and a 2 car shop that has a fully framed horse stable off the backside that ill lay a concrete floor and convert into 2 more bays. Shop is also wired for 220 so a lift and welding equipment will be possible.Last edited by eurotrash; 08-26-2012, 01:20 PM.

Now that the engine and tranny are solid mounted the rearend with 207k feels like a box of dicks. So thats where ill be focusing my efforts for a while.I've got solid engine, and the trans is bolted to the chassis. SO glad I have new bushings everywhere.

No real updates. Blew the upper coolant hose at an event and stuck an inline fill in. Subframe bushing are to bad to drive it so until i get bushings its sitting. Trying to sell my caddy pickup project to get funds and free up space in the garage. Soon as thats gone ill pick up a subframe w/ adj control arm tabs and bushings then start hacking out the front core so i can mount the alum rad w/ taurus fan(gonna have to mount it at an angle w/ the bottom farther forward to fit everything) and make some ducting to help channel air into the rad. Also need to grab a holley blue so i dont have fuel cut at 5300 rpm (lil smucks pump cant keep up w/ a cammed double pumper topped motor)

Got on the phone with dinan and asked for the hardware for all 4 of the trailing arm camber/toe adjusters. After he assured me multiple times it was the entire kit i wound up with enough for 1 eccentric bolt kit at s cost of $112. The entire camber/toe kit is $400 with all the weld on tabs and they want $112 per adjuster hardware kit. Fuck that.ill cut the tabs off and use akg at that price.
