Is anyone here listening to Stefan? I think he's said it 12 times.

He's rocking the FULL diving boards for a reason. Had he not had them on at the time of the crash, his car would most likely have been totalled. If he tucks his bumpers or swaps to plastic, he loses that extra protection from the diving boards, and if the car was to ever (god forbid) become involved in another accident, the outcome would not have been as pleasant as this one.

Full bumpers look great on this car, and help keep a 53k mile cabrio on the road.

Bumpers are called 5mph bumpers for a reason, I don't think plastic versus diving boards in a real crash will make any difference.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

I dunno - I used to play "tag" with my 87 caravan - big thick metal bumpers and shocks - and nothing happened. I try that shit with a plastic bumpered car, and things won't go so well.

I have to say there has to be more protection from the big metal bumper in conjunction with energy absorbing shocks as opposed to smaller, plastic connected directly to the frame. TJ said it himself these are 5 mph bumpers as opposed to 2.5 for the plastic. The larger area plus shocks to absorb energy has to dissipate that energy better.

It says it is 1000g I believe it is readily available, they got it no problem. My car needed 1.5 bottles since the system was 100% evacuated. It was included it the body work charge.
