I'm usually pretty critical of people's homebrew paint jobs, for no other reason than because most of them turn out horribly.

Is this pro-shit? Nope. But for what you had to work with...well done. I think it turned out great. Not to mention you basically saved an e30. A lot of people would have given up after a "crease" like that...

I suppose I could give you props for not taking it to the junker.

A few things I would do is install bumper surrounds, lower it, & tint the windows.

Nice, I like it a lot more than flat black. I'm so tired of cars rattle canned flat black, no matter how well a job it is.

I'm thinking about doing mine in silver or dark green.

But seriously though, I like this. How's the maintenance? can you wash it and what not? Also, how many cans did you use?

but seriously hows the maintenance on it? can you wash it? do you have to do anything special with it? i mean this actually looks nice.

can we get some up close non cell phone photos of the finish? did you matte clear coat it?

I haven't done any maintenance to it that would differ to a conventional paint job. I've only washed it twice since it's been painted, both times with a power washer. It hasn't chipped, flaked, or faded. I still need to color sand, clay bar, and wax it though.

I used 13 cans, but if you just wanted to do the bare minimum 6 or 7 cans would cover the car. The paint I used has a matte finish itself so their was no need to use a clear.

Though I don't like the color, it's original and you did a fantastic job.

i like it. the white weaves go well. Now it needs some decent footwork.
