Damnit I hate you!! I've been thinking of getting another M3 for a while now, and you beat me to it. Oh well, maybe next summer I'll grab one.

Great looking car, can't wait to see all that you do to it. I'm with you, put that s50 in there and make it a perfect combo.

Yeah Mtriple... I'm seriously becoming a fan of your work. If time and money had been better aligned I would have been putting my M30 into your shell. I'm hoping to get into a cherry E30 M3 next year but am definitely concerned about misrepresentation because I am going to have to buy it over the internet and probably from the west coast. M3s are crap around PA :curse:

haha... no... I would have put the M30 in his white 325 shell.

The E30 M3 I want is going to end up with a 2.5L S14... still determining whether to keep it NA or go FI. Anyway... I need to build a house first to get a big enough garage for all of my goodies. I'm hoping while the wife is busy picking shit out I can sneak off and pick up an M3.

What was wrong with the 325i?
                      M3 with S50 is lame.

                            Thanks Matt,

The narrow minded opinion of the "purists" is, in my opinion, lame...

It is your car and you can do whatever. Just expressing my opinion that what makes an M3 so special is the S14!

Tell me, why is the M3 a better candidate for a s50 swap than your 325i?

Styling only? I wouldnt go far enough to say that you are "ruining" a classic. I'm sure it will be an awesome car!

My biggest complaint when I test drove an M3 was the s14. I was very disapointed in it. Maybe I had too high of expectations, but as I've stated before my modded m20 was more fun to me.

I like the styling of the M3 and let's not forget the suspension is better than a 325i too so putting an s50 in one makes a lot of sense to me. Not to mention when you put an s50 in an normal e30 you still have a normal e30. The M3 is always going to be worth more and spending the money on an s50 in that makes more sense to me.

When it's all said and done it's his car, he can do what he wants with it and it's not like the s14 can't be put back in later. Keep us updated with pics.
