The worst thing about leaving an S2000 is missing that shifter :(

Agreed. Best shifter ever. This E30 has a short shift kit on it but it's just not the same. Nothing truly matches that S2000 shifter. :(

Alright, haha. It needs the rear fender redone, front fender redone, and a hood repaint (hell, whole car repaint) but the interior is 98% mint and it's got a 350 in it. It's a '67 Camaro RalliSport.

Yup, definitely Will's car. Congratulations, that car is a gem. I saw it go from clapped out poorly turboed M20 to it's current glory. A lot of love was put into that car, Will was so happy when it was running. Enjoy it!

I think as long as I don't drive like a jackass, any cop is going to think it's some old Bimmer with an exhaust. :D
You're exactly right. It would be pretty shocking if a cop ever gave you trouble even if he did pop the hood. I drove my S50 swapped car for over 4 years with no issue.

Thanks everyone. Only had the car two days and my enjoyment factor is through the roof. Driven 200~ miles on it and spent about $40 in gas... I just can't get enough of the WOT and high-speed cornering hijinks. Tomorrow I'll be taking it for practice night at Adams Motorsport Park for some track time and to learn this particular car's behavior on tight corners. :D

Oh yeah, tonight I raced my cousin's untuned AP1 (full bolt-ons, no soft top, Mugen hardtop, wheels, suspension etc) while I had half a tank of gas + 150 lb passenger. We are about equal drivers. From a 1st gear, 20 mph roll I pulled about 4-5 cars on him by the time we hit 100, even with the passenger. :) I'd estimate without the passenger I'd have 6-7 cars on 'em. I think he was running with only 2-3 gallons of gas too. For reference, his S2000 at this stage is pulling 1-2 cars on stock Evo X's and STI's. On a good track, I'd estimate him to be trapping a solid 102-103 mph. (Stock S2000 @ good drag strips trap 100+ bone stock).

                      (I think he's pining for an E30 S50/S52 swap now, haha) :)

You got some hairy legs... ;)

Looks like a party, this thing definitely looks Sean, and I'm sure it's a pleasure to drive. That interior looks spotless, and will definitely ad enjoyment value to the car. Congrats

Thanks man! And yeah, I don't really care about the "built not bought" bullshit, I am basically just taking on someone else's project and using it as a foundation for my own goals. Castro Motorsports did EVERYTHING on this car (suspension, exhaust, swap, everything) and there's nothing shameful about that.

I have already built cars from scratch (my S2000) and it is satisfying, but no more satisfying than improving upon someone else's tasteful project. Plus, it's really nobody's business whether or not you bought the car with work already done to it. It's a mantra that reeks of insecurity and overcompensation.

Oh, and I'll be taking more pics of the rest of the car tomorrow after washing it and putting 'em in this thread if anyone cares. :)[/quote]

Great car and its nice to hear your happy about owning it but bolting parts on a production chassis is not building a car from "scratch".I started out doing the bolt on thing many years ago but have switched to starting with an idea and some tubing.
Much different to have to fabricate every single piece than to pick which part you want to bolt on.

Now I'd like to see some video,0-100 runs will be fine.:)

Congrats, clean car. The rear speakers are on backwards.

I own both a KW SC S2000 and an E30 and they are both fun cars.
