You dont need a Recaro seat.
You dont need better tires.
You dont need camber plates.
You dont need to remove stuff from your trunk to "make your car lighter".
You stop dreaming.

I ain't needin' no track seat, foo!!!!!
Look, the suspension on the car is for shit. If I am replacing - I'll put better stuff in than stock. You know I haven't forgotten that the thing that needs the most fixing is me.
If I r3v it at a track day, you can be the first one to tell me "I told you so. . ."Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment

Hell Dave, youll prolly r3v the car in your garage on an oil change. You're more of a fool than Heeter. Make sure than when you change your oil, you put new oil IN the engine before starting it... duh... Here, I'll tell you in advance... I told you so. . .

here's a story. one time there was a man who drove on H&R sports, and 14" basketweaves, and stock m20. . . and proved he was still the weakest link. . .
why go all out with stiff springs, a s50, or anything else? the point of driving education is learning, not moddingComment

Engine will be stock, wheels are only +1, and I am accustomed to the H&R Race - why not go with something similar in stiffness or maybe just a tad (and I do mean a tad) stiffer?
So I have even more learning to do before I can even get close to the limits of the car? Fine. Its not like I am getting Motons and a full custom cage welded in. How many DEs did you do before you put the coilovers and Konis on? None, because your car came with them.
Re-read my posts, Robert. i know what the most important improvement is. I won't forsake any weekends because I want to spend $$ on the latest r3v-crazed boy racer mod.
That I need some things fixed (and truly, they do need fixed) and choose to upgrade some of it at the same time is immaterial. Like I said in the other post, I am not going to spend the $$ putting all new stock parts on and then replace them later. But I'm not exactly going overboard. Believe it or not, there are people who I talked to not on the forums who gave me much better feedback and guidance on what things I should replace and what not to.
Its all good. I am not here to post some mod list for the kiddies to see. I just want a decent car that will take last me through a lot of weekends before I even think I may have the ability to take it to 9/10 or hell, proabably even 7 or 8/10.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment
