2 reasons:
First, I love this model of M3, far better than E46 M3, looks and performance. I was debating whether to go with E36 or E46 M3.
Secondly, trying to cut down my monthly obligation for next year, buying couple real estate properties, in order to qualify for multiple loans.

I've driven both, and the E36 lacks in power badly.

the guys on BF.c will love you for that move, according to them, the e36 m3 is the bestest car in the world. this however is a forum where our cars cost 3k or less generally. lol. so all the negative comments you're getting are out of jealousy. :p

E46 is a good car, my brother has one, I've driven it...but I just like the E36, it's a personal thing...
