I picked up lightly-used Bilstein sport shocks/struts, K-mac camber plates, Turner Motorsport 93 octane chip, and a (mostly) crack-free dash from I8UR911. I got to check out Turner Motorsport which is conveniently about 1.5hrs from my house. Look at all the sweet cars I saw!
You know a place is pretty serious when they put old trophies in their bathroom:
Two days of wrenching bull$#!t later, I got the new control arms, sway bar endlinks, and Bilstein sports/BavAuto spings installed. I'm waiting for new needle bearings to install the camber plates, and the trailing arm and control bushings haven't come in yet. I forgot to install a washer between the LH spring perch and the top mount so I'm getting some binding; I get to tear it down again and fix that crap. Hurray...
Oh well, MOAR LOW finally! I'm perfectly satisfied with the ride height; it's not too high, not too low. For the $40 I spent on the springs I'm very happy. I started to take pics of the install process but once I got into tearing apart 22-yr-old suspension components I was too busy getting filthy and cursing to take photos.
New stuff:
Old vs. new (I'd say it was time):
(these MOOG sway bar bushings didn't fit; I'm going to get OEM replacement ones instead)
All back together:
And just because I was bored, I took a few pics of my two cars together:
The car is getting the tires and alignment done today; stay tuned for updates!1987 Toyota MR2: 20v blacktop screamer

Falkens on and aligned, and I installed the Turner Motorsport chip and MOMO Monte Carlo 350 steering wheel and deleted all the airbag crap. The car feels almost like a proper car now! Waiting on sway bar bushings, trailing arm bushings, replacement bearings for the KMAC camber plates, and new hood insulation. Pretty soon I hope to order all new timing chain components and get that banged out. Pics to follow!1987 Toyota MR2: 20v blacktop screamer

Installed front and rear sway bar bushings and M3 offset CAB's yesterday. That took longer than expected, but the CAB's made a big difference over my blown-out stock bushings. Not only does the car feel more stable at speed, but the steering wheel doesn't vibrate a bunch anymore! Picked up new hood insulation but I'm waiting for the paintless dent removal guy to look at my hood; I want to see if they can take a couple dents out first before I install the insulation.
Still hafta install the new coolant temp sensor, fuel pressure regulator, and drop the driveshaft so I can install the new guibo (correction: giubo! a.k.a. the flex disc) and center bearing, and do the shifter bushings and tranny/diff seals. Next Thursday, hopefully!Last edited by MazterDizazter; 05-22-2013, 07:18 AM.1987 Toyota MR2: 20v blacktop screamer

Haven't updated in a while... I think my alternator is over-charging the battery because the batt. is getting awfully hot and making poo-gas (sulfur) smells when I drive it for too long. I'm going to my friend's house to test it with a multimeter today. Not much progress (read:nothing) has been made since my last update; just been driving it. I picked up my new Subaru BRZ so I now have a primary mode of transportation and can allow for some downtime to fix the E30, whereas before I relied on it to get to work every day. Once everything is fixed, the E30 will go back to daily duty and the BRZ will be reserved for fair weather driving.

Well fellas, looks like I'm out of the E30 game, again. I put the car up for sale because I had to move and didn't have space to keep all my toys. The new owner, youngmango808 drove all the way over from Hershey, PA to pick her up! It's his third or fourth E30 so I know it's gone to a good home. Suffice to say I won't be on this forum much anymore, unless I do something crazy like buy another one, or get myself into an e28 or E39. We shall see! Thanks for checking out my build thread, and happy R3v'ing!1987 Toyota MR2: 20v blacktop screamer
