    Not true.
    Once swapped, a simple programer can unleash 450+. That's with stock everything. Upgrade the turbo and you can push 600+ on stock everything. I think the N55 is one of the most versitile engines. It would give you the most bang for the buck.

      The N5X family of engines are going to be like the 2.7 bi turbo Audi engines. Yes they can make a decent amount of power from a tune but they are trash and a 20 year old AAN 20v or 7B with a fat snail will blow its doors off. No one in their right mind would swap a V6 biturbo into any older/ vintage audi chassis.

      Take for example the N54's crank girdle. It has a sealant that is forced through an orifice in the side of the block. No conventional main bearing caps to be found. These features are going to make the do it yourselfer garage swapper steer clear of the newer overly complicated BMW engines.

                  In that case i'll stick to m30 turbo. I'm pretty sure they're going to do an m60 anyway so boost it!
