There's been some discussion about this. I'll do a feeler and see how much flaming it brings…

We built the basic trailer yesterday. Next will be a system to anchor wheels/tires on the rear half, flooring the front half and securing boxes to it.

new(est) wheels look great, but Im lost as to what they are. half of my brain says Borbet's and the other half says Speedlines. Im sure they are both wrong because Im not a wheel whore.

              Also, that trailerhitch is DOPE!

With half a dozen track days at my "home track" of NCM Motorsports Park under my belt, I have all but maxed out how fast I can go with this car in its current configuration.

So there will be some changes for 2016...

                  Phase I:

I had originally intended to leave the carpet in the car, and just cut notches out of it where it bolts to the floor pan. After cutting the carpet in a couple of places and discovering the foam was wet in a few places, along with the remains of an ant colony under the driver side (and apparently residue from the pesticides used to try and kill it), the decision was made - with no shortage of coercing from chondamx and Ether-D - to remove it completely.

Once that process started, we figured we'd go ahead and go for weight reduction. Thanks to those guys for their help! Yesterday/last night in pics:

Big thanks to chondamx and Ether-D again for their help getting the cage bolted in the car today. We finished stripping the interior and the trunk of all the tar, cleaned it up as best we could then hit it with a layer of spray-on bed liner. The wire harnesses were re-wrapped with Temflex, and just enough carpet was left to be able to use my center consoles as well as keep the door sills.

                              The day in pics:

not sure that those rear stays are going to anything resembling structural sheet metal. I know it's a prebuilt cage and all, but all the serious cages I've seen (quite a few) go down to the rear frame rails.

what do your main hoop and front downtube spreader plates look like?
