not sure it is an Alpina manifold unless you have details confirming? Think it is more a homebrew of parts that have been flipped and a turbo flange welded on. Wasnt a tight fit with the Alpina mounts everything had plenty of clearance but the shift back 30mm had hurt the clearance. Would love a G&T manifold but would need t3 flange and without the external wastegate provision as mine is internal.

slow progress, but now I have dejunked the garage at least I can work on it out there. Need to order boost pipe, new IC is only 2.5inch old was 3inch so going to go 2.5 out turbo into IC then might increase to 3 out of IC. Hopefully finalise engine position now I have realised the error in my ways:D

On your throttle cable. Is it from Alpina or is from a right hand car like a e28 535i? I have a Alpina B6 intake. I just need the cable.Projects Hartge,Alpina & AC Schnitzer Builds.http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=280601

Thanks for the pics!!!
I was hoping it would have original cable it came with. I can't remember what my old 1984 Alpina B6 2.8 was using. I really don't want to modify a bicycle cable. I will check with KSK or with MelProjects Hartge,Alpina & AC Schnitzer Builds.http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=280601

Long overdue update.
Finally got some time on my hands. Have mounted the intercooler, used a inch x half inch ally c section, and M10 studs. Have trimmed the front valance down to allow the intercooler to sit as far forward as possible. This now allows a SPAL pusher to go in easy between the IC and e28 radiator. Progress at last.
Waiting for some pipes to come so I can sort the plumbing out from the back of the head to the heater matrix. I need to braze a 5/8 copper pipe into the cut down gooseneck and then route to the heater matrix.

Not got much more to show yet. Have wrapped downpipe and pipe linking rear cylinders to front. Got a question regarding the bottom mount for the e28 radiator. My shell I think may be different as it came with the alpina rad. What are the arrangments normally for mounting the bottom of the rad? My original rad was mounted from the front on tabs and cups that forward of the mask that my IC is now mounted via the m10 studs

Here are a few more pictures
Wrapped downpipe
Partially wrapped manifold
Cut valance didnt have to do too much also removed some of the Headlamp support as I am running 3 inch outlet from IC.
Clearance of fan to IC got about 6mm clearance so plenty
Clearance fan to radiator
Crankshaft pulley clearance in position 3 enough room to keep my aircon
3inch cold side from IC
Here is what used to be the air feed to the side mount IC just a few 10mm holes drilled in the headlamp support. It was a doble thickness wedge shape IC from RS500 folded in half you can see why I wanted to change it
Bit more IC in the frontal area
