Also, in my experience at the track M3 seats, of any generation, do not support the driver enough, especially when you're dealing with a fairly quick car like yours. Great for the road, but once you start piling through the turns, you'll need something more heavily bolstered and tighter to hold you in place.
I've got a mate that tracks his E36 M3 and has a pretty good system for it: takes a friday off work, pulls out back seat, back carpet, door panels and glovebox. Pulls driver's seat out and installs his ready-to-go Sparco fixed-back unit (will have one for the passenger soon, too). Has a blast on the saturday at the track, swaps everything back in on sunday, washes it and has it ready for his monday commute to work.
